Lahore: On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, Secretary Health Arif Nadeem has left for Multan to review routine immunization of children in the districts of south Punjab.
Secretary Health will also visit Bahawalpur and DG Khan and review immunization of children and pregnant women under EPI. Secretary Health said that after control over dengue, the focus of the government is on prevention of diseases and in this connection, besides polio vaccination, strict monitoring of coverage of routine immunization has been started.
He said that Chief Minister Punjab has issued clear instructions that no negligence will be tolerated in the immunization programme of children. DG Health Punjab Dr. Nisar Cheema and Director Health EPI Dr. Tanveer also accompanied him.
