Lahore Police claim excellent performance during November

Lahore police showed excellent results during the month of November 2012, by arresting 112 accused of 39 gangs here in, Lahore and 143 cases have also been traced against them while 6.51 millions recovered from the gangs members and in others cases, 1249 POs & CAs also arrested in the same period.

According to details DIG Operations Muhammad Tahir Rai and SSP Operations Sohail Akhtar Sukhera directed Lahore police, to utilize their full energies to curb the crime in the city and to arrest the criminals involved in different unlawful activities.

On this direction Divisional SPs increased their efforts against criminals and showed excellent results during the month of November by arresting 112 criminals of 39 gangs who were involved in different heinous crimes, 531 POs, 718 CAs included A&B categories were also arrested. During the last months 355 cases registered against 356 accused on having illicit weapons and police also recovered 3-Kalashankoves, 7-rifles, 17 guns, one carbine, 307 revolvers & pistols, 9 daggers and 1903 bullets from the possession of them. During the action against drug sellers, 310 cases were registered and 323 culprits were arrested and 28kg 138g heroine, 28kg 540g chars, 1kg 20g opium, 20kg hesheesh (Bhang) and 2617 bottles of liquor recovered from the criminals.

Moreover, 122 cases were registered against gamblers and 462 criminals arrested. Police also recovered the amount of Rs. 5 laks 60 thousand from their possession. In the same period during the special crackdown 191 cases were registered against 332 culprits on the violation of law.
