Lahore:Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is providing quality education to its 1.3 million deserving students in a child friendly atmosphere for promoting their leadership abilities as well as enhancing the intellectual ken of the students mostly belonging to disfranchised segments of the society. PEF therefore, has become a ray of hope for the children of poor communities especially the girls by arranging free educational opportunities near to their homes.
This was stated by Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Muhammad Anwar while talking to a 15-member delegation of partner school teachers and principals who called on him at his residence on Sunday. Programme heads of Punjab Education Foundation were also present on the occasion.
While talking to the delegation, PEF Chairman maintained that besides providing child friendly atmosphere to the students in the schools, various other beneficial steps have also been taken to develop and promote the students as confident and useful organs of the society. He said that students are the most precious asset of the society adding that they need congenial atmosphere to grow. He further said that Punjab Education Foundation has provided computers and library books on different topics to partner schools so that the students could enhance their understanding of the academic issues. Punjab Education Foundation has the credit to launch a vigorous programme about the menace of corporal punishment and arranged free trainings for the school teachers and principals to sensitize them about the negativity of the corporal punishment.
Punjab Education Foundation is a ray of hope for the poor as it has arranged free education for the out of school children and saved them from the menace of child labour, concluded Raja Anwar. On the occasion, the delegation members thanked the Punjab Government for its initiative of free education through public-private partnership.
