UN should resolve the Palestine issue: Liaqat Baloch

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has called upon the world community to pressurize the United Nations .

In a statement in connection with the World Solidarity day for the Palestinians,he said that the according to Human Rights bodies, Israeli forces had killed thousands of Palestinians during the last sixty years while more than a thousand had been hanged to death.

He said the Palestine issue had cropped up because of the Israeli aggression, and the UN had failed to solve the Palestine issue because the US and the western countries were behind Israel and the UN was completely in their hold. Due to that, the UN had lost its usefulness. He said the Muslims of Kashmir, Palestine and Myanmar were being targeted simply due to the bias against Islam, but the world conscience was asleep in this regard. The voice of the Muslims was being stifled by every possible means.

He said that the JI would continue its support to the Palestinians for their lawful rights.
