Cabinet Sub-Committee approves Punjab Workmen’s Compensation Bill 2012

Lahore: The Cabinet Sub-Committee, headed by Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, has given approval to Punjab Workmen’s Compensation (Amendment) Bill 2012, Punjab Prohibition of Smoking and Protection of Non-Smokers Health(Amendment) Act, 2012 and Punjab Mental Health (Amendment) Act, 2012.

It was decided in a meeting of sub-committee of the cabinet at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, here today. Chief Secretary Punjab Nasir Mehmood Khosa, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretaries of Health, I&C, Planning and Development, Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Additional Secretary Finance, Additional Secretary Labour and senior officers attended the meeting.

Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has given approval to the said Bill and Act in the light of powers devolved to the provinces, under the 18th Amendment. Now this Bill and Act will be presented in the Punjab Assembly, and after the approval of Members of the Assembly, it will become a law
