Protection of working women is our priority:Irum Bukahri

Lahore: Secretary Women Development Punjab, Irum Bukahri has said that a comprehensive policy is being evolved regarding problems of the working women and their solution.

Addressing a high level meeting at her office, here today, Irum Bukhari said that under Women Package 2012, proformae have been sent to Commissioners, DCOs, Provincial Secretaries, IG Punjab, heads of all departments, RPOs, and DPOs for knowing women problems and their solution. She said that these performae will be returned back to Women Development Department within three days. She said that a monitoring cell headed by Deputy Director Saleem Yousuf has also been set up in Women Development Department. Irum Bukahri said that working women can also fax their proformae directly to her on fax number 042-35290579. She further said that women can also directly call her regarding solution of their problems. She said that on the direction of the Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood, a committee has also been constituted for solving the problems of working women. She said it is the mission of the government to provide protection to the working as well as domestic women so that they could play their positive role in national development.
