Lahore: Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Malik Ahmed Ali has said that Punjab government has made foolproof security arrangements for maintenance of law and order, throughout the province, during Maharrum-ul-Haram. These views were expressed him, while presiding over District Peace Committee of Rajanpur, which was also attended by Member Provincial Assembly Sardar Atif Hussain Mazari, Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Division, Tariq Mahmood Khan, RPO Muhammad Nawaz Warriach, DCO Dera Ghazi Khan Aman Ullah, DPO Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Asif, Sardar Tariq Khan Derashak, Assistant Commissioners, officers of district administration besides ulema of various schools of thought and members of civil society.
Provincial Minister said that Islam is a religion of peace and tranquility, therefore it of utmost importance to maintain an atmosphere of brotherhood during the holy month. Commissioner DG Khan Division Tariq Mahmood Khan opined that nefarious aims of terrorists would not be successful during the holy month of Maharrum-ul-Haram, and called upon ulema to play their due role in meeting the challenges facing the country and the nation. MPA Sardar Atif Hussain Mazari said that Islam enjoins upon us to respect each others’ feelings and to maintain peace during Muharrum-ul-Haram. RPO DG Khan, Muhammad Nawaz Warriach informed that security related arrangements have been completed while the police would maintain law and order with the cooperation of members of local peace committees. Ulema from various schools of thought assured on the occasion of their complete cooperation to the government for maintenance of peace during Muharrum-ul-Haram.
