Lahore: Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf Shah Mahmood Qureshid has said that a planned and systemic and every day new scandals were being launched by those who are afraid of the popularity of Imran Khan. He said that people have already decided to end the politics of corruption and nepotism and they would accord their decision in favour of Tehrik-e-Insaaf. He added that South Punjab has to lead and PTI would evolve comprehensive strategy on each seat there to confirm sweep majority.
He was presiding over a special meeting of the leaders of PTI of the districts of South Punjab which was attended by Jehangir Tareen and Nawab Aman Ullah Khan from Lodhran, Rafique Haider Leghari and Zafar Iqbal Warriach from R.Y. Khan, Shaukat Ali Lalika and Afzal Sindhu from Bahawalnagar, Husain Jehanian Gardezi from Khanewal, Aurangzeb Khichi from Vehari, Shaukat Hayat Bosan and Saeed Qureshi from Multan and Sajjad Husain Bokhari from Muzzafargarh while Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhary and Mian Afzal Hayat specially attended this session.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that major political parties in power have focused the coming general elections and were using public funds through their members but these tactics can never attract the masses who know the reality. He said that party chief of PTI Imran Khan would soon plan mass contact campaign in which south Punjab would be the priority. He said that there are certain hurdles in the party discipline and party has tried level best to overcome them.
In the meeting, Jehangir Tareen told that so far PTI has prepare policies for the 4 sectors which are Agriculture, Health, Economy and Local Government and these all available at website. Ejaz Chaudhary said that party elections are to be held at all costs and it was trying to finish this process by Nov.30. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that in the light of the proposals of this meeting new strategy would be prepared and each worker of PTI would be taken into confidence.
Other participants expressed their point of view on the PTI party elections and suggested to delay it after the general elections. They asked Imran Khan to schedule tour of South Punjab at micro level as every worker wants to shake hand with him. One speaker said that people have already brought the silent change and now have to only gather it. The meeting unanimously agreed to speed up the political activities in the South Punjab and become more active to contact the masses.
