Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has ordered to make foolproof security arrangements for the maintenance of law and order on the occasion of Eid ul Azha throughout the province including Lahore and directed the police officials to make best security arrangements for this purpose. The Chief Minister directed senior police officials that foolproof security arrangements should be made during first and remaining days of Eid ul Azha.
He said that the comprehensive security plan evolved in this regard be implemented strictly. Shahbaz Sharif said that foolproof security arrangements should be ensured at mosques, imam bargahs, eidgahs and other worship places. He directed that the number of police officials be increased for the security of Eid congregations and entry be only allowed in the gathering of Nimaz-e-Eid after thorough checking. He directed concerned police officials that checking should be ensured through walk-gates and metal detectors for strict security of Eid congregations whereas special attention should also be paid to the security of sensitive places. The Chief Minister said that the law enforcement agencies should make intelligence sharing system more effective so that the nefarious designs of anti-social elements could be foiled.
