Lahore: A workshop was held at Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for imparting necessary training to the staff of Civil Wireless Network. Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Mujahid Sherdil while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the workshop, said that due to the sagacious strategy and policies of Punjab Chief Minister, timely relief and rehabilitation activities were carried out in the flood-hit districts of DG Khan and Rajanpur.
He said that PDMA has proved to be a role model institution in the country due to its activities in the calamity-hit areas. He said that Civil Wireless Network has started work in eight districts of the province and after provision of necessary training to the staff, its scope will be expanded to other districts. He said that this system will work under the supervision of DCOs in which District Response Force, Rescue 1122 and other concerned agencies will perform their duty.
