Lahore:The youth of one of the most populous province of the country, Punjab is going to create the world record by forming the biggest mosaic and the largest human flag as part of the Punjab Youth Festival 2012 and for the purpose around 26,000 youth and the same number of volunteers are working day in and day off to reach the mark.
Addressing a press conference here at the conference hall of the National Hockey Stadium, Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, who is the organizing secretary of the festival, informed that the opening ceremony will be held on October 20 and after a day’s break the largest mosaic and flag will be created on October 22.
Rana further informed students of various institutes are going to break the largest flag’s record to enroll their name in GWR. He said: “A tremendous response to the sports and non-sports events have been witnessed with participation from record people and is also be being witnessed by large audience.
“In the start of the provincial level’s opening events Expo Center had immense interest.”
“A job fair for the talented youth will also be organized by the SBP at Expo center on October 21,” he maintained.
“During the fair Youth’s talent will be given the facility to brighten their future,” he further continued.
Rana Mashhood further said: “We are going to engrave the name of our country in the GWR after conducting a historic Youth Festival.
He continued: “The opening ceremony will be held on 20th along with the National anthem and March Past while individual GWR events will be held on 21st October, 2012. On Oct 22nd, the biggest mosaic and flag will be made.”
In a response to a question, he informed that 29 countries have finalized their arrival to Pakistan for the International Sports Festival 2012.
“We have not only engaged the youth of Pakistan but also we have shown the true picture of the country in the limelight of Youth Festival’s successful organization,” he added.
