Hanzala Malik lauds the performance of Punjab Emergency Service

Lahore: A Member of Scotland Parliament, (Rescue 1122) and desired for such emergency services should also be provided to the citizens of other provinces.

He expressed these views while addressing the Under Training Cadets, being trained for Tehsils, here at Emergency Services Academy, Lahore, on Tuesday. The function organized by the Service was graced by Director General Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Dr Rizwan Naseer and senior officials.

Hanzala Malik said that the Service has been established across the largest Punjab province of the country and now the replication of integrated model of Emergency Management and Disaster Response should be rolled out in other provinces for safety of the citizens. He further said Rescue 1122 is number one service of Pakistan today, the fact that the armed forces are also taking up the opportunity to be trained by Rescue 1122, demonstrates that facts.

Admiring the services of Dr. Rizwan Naseer, he said the Founder Director General has set new standards of services in Pakistan. He also urged the government to work for prevention of emergencies like road traffic accidents, fires and disasters. He said, “Community awareness is the most important task now and programmes should be launched for community participation”.

On this occasion, Rescue’s Director General paid special thanks to son of soil Hanzala Malik for his continuous support and contribution in establishing first modern fire service in Pakistan on advanced lines through professional training and donation of emergency vehicles.

It is pertinent to mention here that Hanzala Malik arranged several trainings of Emergency Officers of Pakistan in UK and signing of MoU between Strethclyde Fire & Rescue and Rescue 1122 which was instrumental in capacity building of the Service, according to International standards.
