Position holder female students return back to home

Lahore: On the invitation of Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, position holder female students in annual matriculation examination 2012 of all educational boards of Punjab arrived Punjab House Murree today on a 3-day study and recreational tour of Murree. A smart contingent of police presented guard of honour to the students at Punjab House, Murree. Advisor to CM on Higher Education Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri represented the Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Assistant Commissioner Manzoor Ahmed Chandio, ASP Murree, representative officers of educational boards of Punjab, Protocol Officer Ms. Nadia Awan and Faisal Shakeel were present on the occasion.

Position holder students will be given protocol of state guest during their 3-day study and recreational tour of Murree and they will stay at Punjab House, Murree. These position holder students will also visit Patriata Chair Lift, Soft Wheel Train, Government House Murree, PC Bhurban and other important picnic points of Murree. The students will also participate in a seminar at PC Bhurban, where they will be provided information and awareness about getting higher education through a documentary film.

Addressing the students, on the occasion of guard of honour, Advisor to CM on Higher Education, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri said that Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps for enhancing quality education and promotion of education. He said that Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has set up Punjab Educational Endowment Fund for providing scholarships to about 40 thousand male and female student for getting education in local and foreign universities. Similarly, fees of the children of poor families are also being paid by Punjab Education Foundation studying in private schools. He said that quality educational facilities are being provided to the children of downtrodden people through establishment of Daanish schools in the province. Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri said that the youth particularly male and female students are asset and future of the nation. He said that the progress of the society and country can be ensured by providing education to the women who constitute 52% of the population as an educated mother can bring up the children properly. Presentation of guard of honour to the position holder students during their study and recreational tour is, in fact, a recognition to their abilities and achievements, he added.

Expressing their views on the occasion, position holder female students said that they felt immense pleasure on receiving guard of honour and it is a memorable event of their life. They thanked the Chief Minister Punjab for inviting them on recreational and study tour. They pledged that they will work hard and show better results in future and win laurels for their parents, country and the nation. The students also appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government for promotion of education.
