Lahore: Coordinator to President Asif Ali Zardari, Naveed Chaudhry, said on Monday the Pakistan Peoples’Party was hot favorite in the next general election and the International Republican Institute (IRI) report was bogus. He said the opinion of 6,001 people through the internet was not the voice of 108 million people of the country.
Criticizing the PML-N leadership, he said publicity seekers were actually drafting a game plan to defeat the PPP in the next general election as they were afraid of another defeat. He said the PML-N should also consider an alarming crime rate in Punjab instead of scoring points through popularity surveys.”People don’t want to know which party is popular or not but they only need solutions to their problems,” he added.
He said the PPP believed in service to the masses, adding that nobody
could stop the PPP as it had a history of unprecedented sacrifices.
To a question, he said that President Asif Ali Zardari during his address to the United Nations General Assembly had expressed sentiments of not only the Pakistani nation but also the entire Muslim Ummah on the issue of the sacrilegious film.
To another question, he said the PPP had never used public
funds for publicity of the party or any individual.
