Lahore: The repeated publication of and caricatures in the West is a great test for the Muslim masses and their rulers, and the situation calls for another Salahud Din Ayubi, Chairman, Defae Pakistan Council, Maulana Samiul Haq, said while addressing a huge rally in Peshawar on Monday.
The West, he said, had begun crusades against the Muslim Ummah by publishing blasphemous films and caricatures and the desecration of the Holy Quran. Even in the past, the crusades had started because of blasphemy. The Muslims, he said, were peaceful people but they could not overlook the insult of the Noble Prophet or the Quran.
Maulana Samiul Haq stressed upon the Muslim rulers to call for exemplary action against all those indulging in blasphemy failing which the Muslim world should boycott the products of the countries encouraging such sacrilege.
Speaking on the occasion, Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, said that the Pakistani nation was awaiting a massive struggle. He said the West believed that it could keep the Muslim masses under pressure through the Muslim rulers and continue such dirty things with impunity. However, he said, that the entire Ummah could not be purchased. He said the western forces defeated in Afghanistan must understand that the Muslim Ummah could neither be crushed nor curbed. He further said that an Islamic revolution was the destiny of Pakistan.
The Jama’ud Dawa chief, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, in his address, said that the US had massacred millions of the Muslims in the name of war on terror. He said the protection of the Namoos e Risalat was a much bigger issue than the US interference, NATO supplies, drone attacks and the grant of Most Favourtie Nation status to India. The US had committed biggest terrorism by attacking the sanctity of the Holy Prophet. He said the US President Obama, in his address in the UN General Assembly had claimed that there was no law in the US to curb freedom of expression. He said that France and other Western countries had also involved themselves in blasphemy. He said in such a situation, the leaders of the Ummah could give a call to the one and a half billion Muslims on the globe. He said unfortunately, the Muslim rulers had crossed all limits of shamelessness and were still behaving as US slaves.
