MD WASA to ensure drainage of water from the vacant plots:Mian Marghoob Ahmad

Member National Assembly and Chairman Town Emergency Response Committee, Mian Marghoob Ahmed has directed WASA, Solid Waste Management and Parks & Horticulture Authority to ensure drainage of water from the vacant plots, chocked sewerages and grounds within the limits of Samanabad Town within two days and submit a report.

He was presiding over a high level meeting regarding anti-dengue campaign at Samanabad Town Office, here today. Member Provincial Assembly Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmed and officers of other departments were also present on the occasion. Mian Marghoob Ahmed directed officers of all departments engaged in anti-dengue campaign especially the teams busy in eradication of dengue larvae to intensity their efforts and utilize all their energies for this purpose. He asked the entomologist present in the meeting to conduct a survey of workshops, godowns and body-maker workshops for eradication of dengue larvae. He said that cases under dengue control regulation be registered against the owners showing negligence.

The meeting was informed that a dengue case has been reported from UC-113 upon which Mian Marghoob directed entomologist to conduct a survey of the patient’s house and carry out spray in case of dengue larvae found and informed the family members about precautionary measures against dengue. Mian Marghoob Ahmed directed the officers of education department present in the meeting to pay maximum surprise visits to the public and private educational institutions and ensure implementation on preventive measures regarding eradication of dengue.
