Lahore: Chairman Samanabad Town Emergency Response Committee Mian Marghoob Ahmad, MNA has constituted a special committee comprising of town officer revenue, deputy district officer health and entomologist which will carry out survey of 46 graveyards of Samanabad Town to identify dengue larva and after destroying it submit a report to him.
Mian Marghoob Ahmad said this while presiding over a special meeting regarding eradication of dengue in Samanabad Town here today which was attended by town officers and officers of all concerned departments. He said that dengue can breed in graveyards due to accumulation of water there. He said that instructions have already been issued to the employees of Auqaf department performing duties in all graveyards to immediately report town office about standing of water anywhere in graveyards so that its drainage could be ensured.
The meeting decided that entomologist along with a team will again conduct survey of those factories, industries, junkyards, warehouses and under- construction buildings which were sealed on finding dengue larva and not adopting preventive measure regarding anti-dengue and on being satisfied with the adoption of protective measures regarding dengue by the owners of business concerns will de-seal these places.
Mian Marghood Ahmad assigned the responsibility to principals of government colleges to visit five private educational institutions each who will present their report in the next meeting regarding dengue after visiting these institutions. He also took notice of accumulation of rain and sewerage water on Ranjha road and also directed WASA authorities to immediately drain out the water.
