Profane film is highly provocative step:Nawaz Sharif

Lahore: President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that profane film which presents a distorted view of Islam is a highly deplorable and provocative step.

He said that this despicable film is not only heart-wrenching for the Muslims of the world, but is a great setback to the humanism, which believes in peace, goodwill and mutual respect. He said, not only Islam, but all the religions of the world, teach the lesson of respecting religious personalities and sacred signs.

He said that the fundamental teachings of Islam and Holy Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) are based on mutual brotherhood and tolerance. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif hoped that all nations, which believe in humanism, peace and mutual goodwill, would strongly discourage nefarious acts, which injure the feelings of others, or help promote extremism.
