Lahore: President Asif Ali Zardari and Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi Friday discussed country’s overall political situation as well as matters pertaining to the PPP and PML-Q alliance.
In their meeting held here at the Governor House, the president
said that in accordance with the vision of Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, the politics of reconcialition was being pursued
to strengthen democratic system in the country.
The PPP and its allied parties in the government were playing their active role for the well-being and prosperity of the people, he added.
Both the leaders also discussed the matters pertaining to coalition of the two parties and the next general elections.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi,
who is also Central Leader of PML-Q, said that both the parties
would also form an alliance for the general elections.
