TIANJIN, China:Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf left here for home Thursday at the end of his three-day visit where he attended the World Economic Forum (WEF) and met Chinese leadership.
The Prime Minister was warmly seen off by Zhang Jun Fang Vice Mayor of Tianjin at the Binhai International Airport and Pakistan’s ambassador to China Masood Khan.
During his stay Prime Minister Ashraf joined world leaders and top business figures at the World Economic Forum’s 6th annual meeting, also widely known as Summer Davos, and was accompanied by Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh.
Prime Minister was the main speaker at the session titled “An insight, An idea with Prime Minister Raja Pervez” where he spoke on; ‘Regional situation: Pakistan’s perspective’. He also participated in other sessions as panelist.
The Prime Minister also led a discussion on “Business Interaction Group on Pakistan” and deliberated on the geopolitical and economic matters affecting the South Asia region.
The Prime Minister also had a very productive meeting with China’s Premier Wen Jiabao, Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, besides meeting other world leaders including the prime minister of Denmark, former British prime minister Gordan Brown and prominent figures of the business community.
