Lahore: The Federal Government has been appointed Former Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police of Dr. Wasim Kosar as Advisor to Chairman NAB.
He gained his Ph.D from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, on the basis of his Research Thesis entitled “Drug Addiction Syndrome in University Students” in the year 2000. Prior to this he did his Masters in Police Studies from the University of Exeter and Masters in English Literature from Government College, Lahore. The subject of Drug Addiction and Prevention and Scenario of Drug Abuse in Pakistan forms the special interests of Dr. Wasim.
He had the Honour to present papers on drug related issues in eight International Seminars including two seminars in the University of Cambridge at U.K. Dr. Wasim is the author of five major publications on drug related issues and apart from his special interest in Drug Addiction and Prevention. Dr Waseem kauser has previously held some important slots in Punjab Police as well as NH&MP, and is said to have an excellent track record of professional services. Earlier Dr. Wasim Kausar has been posted as Director, Central Planning & Training Unit (CPTU) National Police Academy, Islamabad, commandant / Dy. commandant Police Training College, Sihala Superintendent of Police Multan, Deputy Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police.
Dr.Wasim is a Senior Police Officer who has been a pioneer of “Public Friendly and Service Oriented Policing” in Pakistan by Planning, Training and Creating the National Highways & Motorway Police on the basis of his exposure in U.K to the British Policing Strategy and interaction with the British Police. Dr. Wasim Kausar awarded Pride of Performance Award by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in recognition of Public Friendly policing in National Highways & Motorway Police. Awarded “Roll of Honour” by Government College Lahore in recognition of meritorious performance in English debating.
