Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Mujahid Sherdil has said that losses caused due to flood water in Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan are being reviewed and complete survey report will be compiled after receding of water in the area.
He said that relief work has been expedited in the flood affected areas while 200 trucks of edible items have reached DG Khan and Rajanpur for the flood affectees. He said that 10 thousand food hampers have been distributed among the flood affectees while 10 thousand more food hampers will be distributed today. He said that four thousand flour bags of 20kg each and rice have been dispatched for Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur besides 5500 tents and 12000 blankets are being provided to flood affectees in Rajanpur.
He said that food is being provided by the administration regularly to the flood affectees in the tents. He said that besides people, livestock and cattle are being vaccinated while fodder is being provided through big boats. He said that water has started receding in both affected districts and relief activities will continue till the complete rehabilitation of flood affectees.
