Police can not hide from the eyes of public:IG Haji Habib Rehman

Lahore: The police department for the officers and officials is like living in a glasshouse, where they cannot hide their performance or anything else from the eyes of the people. Therefore, it is the main responsibility of the police officers/officials to perform their duties honestly and with dedication and commitment so that justice should be ensured in the society.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman expressed these views while talking to an 11-member delegation of newly trained Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) at Central Police Office today. The ASPs including three women police officers are posted in different districts of the Punjab province following the completion of their training. Additional-IG Punjab Malik Khuda Bukhsh Awan, DIG (Operations) Punjab Sohail Khan, and DIG (Headquarters) Muhammad Amlesh were also present on this occasion.

The provincial police chief advised the officers to handle the cases of oppressed people like their personal cases because it would be dishonesty with the uniform and authority if they could not provide justice to the victims.

IGP Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman also asked the officers to perform their duties purely on merit and never succumb to political pressure or greed and ensure provision of justice to the masses at their doorstep.

The newly trained officers including Ata-ur-Rehman from Bannu has been posted as SDPO Depalpura Circle, Okara, Faiaz Hameed of Mardan has been posted as SDPO Wazirabad Circle Gujranwala, Amara Athar of Lahore has been posted as ASP Organised Crimes Sargodha, Shaista Rehman of Lahore has been posted as ASP (Headquarters) Kasur, Furrukh Raza of Khairpur Sindh has been posted as SDPO Defense Circle Lahore, Nida Riaz Chatha of Lahore has been posted as ASP (Headquarters) Elite Police Force Lahore, Zeshan Shafique Siddiqui of Karachi has been posted as SDPO Garden Town Circle Lahore, Syed Karrar Hussain of Gilgit-Baltistan has been posted as SDPO Murree Circle Rawalpindi, Arif Shahbaz Khan Wazir of KPK has been posted as SDPO Peoples Colony Circle Faisalabad, Zahid Nawaz of Lakki Murwat has been posted as SDPO Ferozewala Circle Sheikhupura, and Muhammad Attique Tahir of Charsadda has been posted as SDPO City Circle Sialkot.
