Lahore: Thousands of children travelling on highways remain unattended during administration of Polio vaccination campaigns and National Highways and Motorway Police is working vigorously to eradicate the menace of Polio from Pakistan in collaboration with Health Department by making sure that no child travelling on highways is left without polio vaccination said Rai Altaf Hussain Deputy Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police while inaugurating Polio Vaccination Campaign at Guidance Centre, Lahore.
N-5 Central Zone started Polio Vaccination Campaign by holding a special ceremony at Guidance Center, Lahore as directed by IG NH&MP Zafar Abbas Lak. The Deputy Inspector General Rai Altaf Hussain administered Polio drops to the children and directed the officers to take an active part in the campaign for the complete elimination of this menace from our country.
N-5 Central Zone has established special Polio camps at all the Toll Plazas and other important places from Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan. NH&MP officers have been deputed on these camps to facilitate the polio teams and making sure that polio drops have been administered to all the travelling children.
The zonal commander Rai Altaf Hussain also visited different polio camps established on national highways. He told the officers to work whole heartedly to make this campaign successful as assistance in conducting polio vaccination campaign will further improve the public friendly image of the force.
