Process of releasing fish in the ponds is continuing for elimination of dengue :Malik Saif ul Malook

Lahore: Chairman Dengue Response Committee Allama Iqbal Town, Malik Saif-ul-Malook has said that all departments should provide their micro plans immediately to the town administration so that monitoring could be done in its light. Process of releasing fish in the ponds is continuing for elimination of dengue larva in the town.

He expressed these views while presiding over an anti-dengue meeting, here today. He said that a case of IRS has been reported in Bakarmandi where spray has been conducted immediately. He said that report of daily checking of graveyards in the town should be provided and strict action will be taken against the concerned officer in case of garbage or stagnant water found in any graveyard. He said that action should also be taken against the owners of tyre shops who have not got license so far and their shops be sealed.

Malik Saif-ul-Malook said that administration of Iqbal Town should make arrangements for the evacuation of cattle from the town besides make-shifts of gypsy people should be shifted outside the town in view of any possible threat of dengue. Rana Ijaz Ahmad Khan, Shakoor Ahmad Assistant Commissioner and officers of other concerned departments attended the meeting.
