Provincial review meeting of all Executive District Officers held at DG Health Office

Lahore: Provincial review meeting of all Executive District Officers (Health) was convened by Dr. Nisar Ahmad Cheema, DG Health today in the committee room of Directorate General Health Services.

Dr. Tanveer Hamd Program Manager EPI, Dr. Zafar Ikram Program Manager MNCH Program, Dr. Amjad Shahzad program Manager Health Sector Reforms, Dr. Mubashar Malik Program Manager CDC and Dr. Jafar Ilyas Program Manage3r Dengue Control Program presented provincial analysis regarding achievement of targets of various health programs.

The participants were reiterated to ensure all necessary measures including procurement, monitoring, evaluation and accountability on regular basis to achieve the targets regarding child immunization more than 90% reduce mother and child mortality. It was decided that funds allocated for PMDG will be utilized to procure medicine and medical equipments to provide safe normal delivery and C-Section facilities in the far flung areas of the districts. Chair assured all type of technical coordination support to the District Officers for smooth service delivery and coordination for technical matters. It was decided that all EDOs will randomly evaluate EPI coverage in two UC from every tehsil, assure active dengue larvae surveillance, prompt action for dengue case response and put in maximum efforts to make the people aware regarding identification of potential dengue breeding sites and their removal.

Dr. Nisar Cheema, DG Health appreciated role of District Health Offices in excellent celebration of anti-dengue day. The Executive District Officers Health assures implementation of the decisions in letter and spirit and share reports with the Directorate General Health Services on regular basis. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Ch technical focal person polio and Deboher from WHO also address the meeting and shared updates regarding upcoming polio days.
