Lahore “Anti-Dengue Day” was fully observed in the partner schools of the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) throughout the Province with the commitment to provide a neat & clean environment to the younger generation so that the healthy youth could actively serve the country. Likewise, PEF head office in Lahore and two regional offices in Rawalpindi & Multan Divisions also remained open on Sunday.
A spokesperson of the Punjab Education Foundation, stated this in a statement, issued here on Sunday.
While giving a detail of PEF’s efforts in the eradication of Dengue Virus from the society through active participation of the partner schools, the spokesperson maintained that PEF partner schools remained open on Sunday and the staff as well as the teachers took part in various Anti-Dengue awareness programs organized by the Punjab Government to further sensitize the general public about this deadly viral disease.
In line with the instructions of the Punjab Government, the partner schools made elaborate arrangements for general cleanliness in their premises and banners were also been displayed for public awareness, the spokesperson said.
Partner school teachers have also asked the students to act as a vanguard against this deadly disease at the grassroots and assist their families in maintaining a clean atmosphere in their houses.
PEF is fully committed to support the on-going anti-Dengue efforts aimed to purge the society of this Virus, concluded the spokesperson.
