Australian parliamentarians visit LCCI

Lahore: Delegation of Australian parliamentarians led by Senator John Hogg, President of the Australian Senate visited Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) on Friday 31-8-2012. They ware welcomed by the President LCCI, Mr. Irfan Qaiser Sheikh along with other executive members of the Chamber. During his visit Senator John Hogg delineated the strength of Australian parliamentary system.

He also stressed the need of the development of free trade between the two nations. Senator Hogg expressed that there is need to make business more reliable. He desired the parliaments of both the countries to strengthen trade and commerce so that mutual trade could be boosted. LCCI President, Mr. Irfan Qaiser Sheikh told the delegation that Pakistan is a safe country for investors having great potential in various fields and desired the Australian businessmen to invest in Pakistan. Peter Heyward, the Australian High Commissioner for Pakistan was also present during the visit of Australian parliamentarians.

He said that Australia has the best avenues of Vocational Training for Pakistani businessmen and avowed to strengthen the trade ties of both the nations.
