Commissioner Lahore visits RBTS rout

Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafique Malik has visited Rapid Bus Transit System from Kalma Chowk to Yohanabad. During his visit he reviewed the road safety arrangements regarding the safe traveling of the citizens on various points of the project.

DG LDA Ahad Khan Cheema, CTO Lahore Dr. Usman, and Commissioner Office Project Coordinator Col. (R) Younas Bharola were also present on the occasion.

Giving briefing to the Commissioner regarding public road safety, the Chief Traffic Officer, informed that in order to minimize the difficulties being faced by the citizens a comprehensive traffic plan had been devised .He said that corrugated ironed sheets, empty barrels and cautionary tap had been put on both sides of the road so that the passers-by might not faced any difficulty. He pointed out that it has been specifically kept in mind that the traffic plan might easily be changed in connection with the revised traffic plan if the project was modified at any place. At that the Commissioner directed the CTO to put reflectors on both sides of the passage where big holes are being dug out so that travelling might be easy and safer for the travelers. He said that it is the foremost duty of the government to provide safe and comfortable transport facilities to the masses and all out resources be utilized to ensure the safe travelling of the masses during the construction work of the project.
