Parliamentarian welds the heads over dengue issue

Lahore: Chairman Dengue Response Committee Iqbal Town, Muhammad Afzal Khokhar presided over a meeting to give a final shape to working plan regarding Anti-Dengue Day on September 02. and officers of other departments were also present on the occasion.

Malik Afzal Khokhar informed the meeting that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, Anti-Dengue Day will be held at once on September 02 in all the towns of Lahore. He said that a walk would be held by making chain of hands regarding dengue awareness in all the five union councils of Allama Iqbal Town which will reflect that every patriotic person is united for the eradication of dengue larva. He informed that this walk would be held in union council 118 Thokar Niaz Baig, 116 Johar Town, 111 Sabzazar, 132 Township and 149 Raiwind at the same time. He said that Members Assembly, volunteers, scouts, students and people from different walks of life will announce war against dengue larva by making chain with their hands. He said that arrangements regarding cleanliness, eradication of dirty water ponds and disposing of waste material are being monitored in all the union councils of the town.
