We respect judiciary:Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvaiz Elahi has said that we have always respected the judiciary and Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf appearance in the Supreme Court was a unanimous decision.

He said this while talking to media on arrival in the Supreme Court on the occasion of the appearance of the Prime Minister in the country’s apex court here today.

In response to a question, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that we have always openly and forcefully opposed hostility and confrontation between the institutions.

Replying to another question, the Deputy Prime Minister said that leaders of all the parties included in the ruling coalition had decided about the appearance of the Prime Minister before the Supreme Court adding that it was a unanimous decision of all after which there is no point in criticism in this regard.

He maintained that we respect the verdicts of the Supreme Court whereas in the past N-League had adopted policy of storming the judiciary and also implemented it what to what talk about respecting the judiciary. He said that even the Supreme Court was attacked under a plan and afterwards, reception was also hosted in honour of the attackers.

Ch Parvaiz Elahi said that it is in the interest of the country and the nation that all institutions should respect each other.
