Punjab youth festival starts

Lahore: Chief Organizer Punjab Youth Festival, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashud Ahmad has said that Punjab Youth Festival start from Sunday, August 26 under the aegis of Sports Board in which more than five lakh persons will participate in the competitions held at local and union council level.

He expressed these views while addressing a press conference in conference hall of National Hockey Stadium, here today. DG Sports Usman Anwar was also present on the occasion. He said that Guinness Book of World Record will be official partner of our event in the first time country’s history and will reach Pakistan in the middle of October to monitor different events to be held during the festival.

Talking regarding Punjab Youth Festival, Rana Mashud Ahmad informed that five crore persons would be provided opportunity to take part in healthy competitions. He said that the transparent holding of such a big event network, a system has been evolved under which local jury committees have been constituted in all the 55 thousand union councils which will not only monitor these events but also resolve the disputes emerging out during these events.
