Lahore: Secretary Special Education Abdullah Sumbal has said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, spray is being carried out in all the educational institutions of the special children throughout Punjab for protection from dengue.
He disclosed this while addressing a meeting, here today. He directed officers and officials to personally supervise the cleanliness and spray being carried out under anti-dengue campaign in all educational institutions of special children so that dengue larva could not produce in rainy season. The Secretary said that he will personally visit all educational institutions and review the measures being taken under anti-dengue campaign.
Abdullah Sumbal further disclosed that September 02 is being observed as Anti-Dengue Day wherein information would be provided to people regarding awareness campaign against dengue. He said that seminars would be held in educational institutions of special children on August 30 wherein 40 officers would be imparted training by the experts so that they could ensure implementation of the guidelines and protective measures.
Abdullah Sumbal said that male and female students would apprise of the proposals and spray at homes for protection from dengue. He said that the government has accelerated the efforts for elimination of dengue virus.
