Dengue can be controlled through collective efforts:Haji Allah Rakha

Lahore: Member Provincial Assembly, Haji Allah Rakha has said that . He said that special teams have been constituted for creating awareness among the people which will visit door to door for launching anti-dengue campaign.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of emergency response committee constituted for eradication of dengue at Aziz Bhatti Town, here today. Member Provincial Assembly Mian Naveed Anjum, Coordinators, town municipal administrator Aziz Bhatti Town, teachers of schools and colleges, officers of WASA, health and other departments were also present. Officers of all departments gave briefing about their performance regarding eradication of dengue.

Ch. Allah Rakha said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, anti dengue campaign is being launched at Aziz Bhatti Town from tomorrow. All schools and government departments located in Aziz Bhatti Town will start cleanliness from 8.00 am to 10.00 am in which officials of all departments will take part. He said that besides this, dengue kits and pamphlets will also be distributed. He said that spray and fogging will also be carried out during this campaign. He further told that walks have also been arranged at Aziz Bhatti Town. Members Provincial Assembly, Rana Tajammal will lead the walk at Union Council-59, Mian Naveed Anjum at Government Degree College Salamatpura whereas Haji Allah Rakha at Moghulpura.
