Lahore: Director General Social Welfare Punjab, Malik Aslam has said that registration of has been completed so far regarding dengue eradication campaign by the department.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting regarding dengue eradication campaign, at his office today. He said that these volunteers along with officers and staff of health department, social welfare department and district government will provide necessary information to the people regarding elimination of dengue larva and protection from it. They will also provide information of the special hospitals to the patients in case of dengue fever where treatment facilities of dengue will be available, he added. He said that these volunteers will also help dengue patients in their treatment as well as collection of blood donations for their facility.
Malik Aslam further said that an emergent meeting of district officers of those 13 districts which have been declared dangerous regarding dengue spread by health department will be held on August 25 at 9 am at Directorate General Social Welfare Punjab 41 Empress Road which will be presided over by Secretary Social Welfare Punjab. The meeting will review the measures regarding dengue eradication campaign in these districts besides a coordinated strategy will be discussed for accelerating this campaign so that people of these districts could also be saved from dengue disease.
