Terror fear shuts the mobile services on Eid

Lahore:Mobile phone services were suspended in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad Sunday night due to possible terror attacks at Eid.

The mobile phone services were suspended at 8.00pm on Sunday. According to reports the services will remain suspended till 11am Monday.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik already had given warning that mobile phone services could be suspended for sometime in emergency to foil terror bids.

The interior minister says terrorists can strike on the occasion of Eid and security agencies have been put on high alert.

He apologised to public in advance in case mobile phone services had to be blocked in certain areas in case of emergency.
No negligence would be tolerated by the law enforcement and security agencies, he said.
