Rescue 1122 finalize emergency arrangements for Eid

Lahore: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Emergency Ambulance, Rescue and Fire Services shall remain on emergency alert during Eid holidays in all districts of Punjab to provide emergency cover to the citizens in case of any emergency. In this regard special emergency arrangements were reviewed here at Provincial Headquarters in a meeting chaired by the Director General, Dr. Rizwan Naseer.

The Provincial Monitoring Cell informed the Director General that Emergency plans for Eid have been finalized in all districts of Punjab in close coordination with District administration. All districts have made plans for deployment of emergency ambulances, rescue and fire services at important mosques and Eid Gahs. Rescue mobile posts of emergency paramedics shall also be deployed at important places of mass gatherings.

The District Emergency Officers have also been directed to organize meetings with local mosque committees and ensure that local volunteers are available in case of any emergency. Meetings with management of hospitals have also been organized for better management of any untoward incident.

The Provincial Monitoring Cell at Rescue 1122 Headquarters shall remain operational round the clock to ensure effective implementation of District Emergency Plans. District Control Rooms shall also be functional round the clock for provision of effective emergency services to the Public and leaves of rescuers have been restricted in this regard.

In Lahore the Rescue 1122 staff shall remain on special duties in district control room, emergency rescue stations, 24 equipped emergency ambulances, 13 fire vehicles, 04 rescue vehicles and a Disaster Rescue Team. Special mobile posts shall also be established for effectively providing medical cover to the Eid gatherings.

The Director General wished to all the citizens a safe Eid and advised to drive safely with families particularly while leaving to returning from home towns before, during & after Eid holidays.
