Shahbaz Sharif message on independence day

Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the historic day of 14th August reminds us about the unforgettable sacrifices rendered by our ancestors, under the dynamic and courageous leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, to achieve an independent and sovereign state. He said that the sacred moment of Independence Day demands from us to rise above our personal interests and make collective efforts for achieving the true objectives of establishment of Pakistan. He said that, on the happy occasion of Independence Day, we should pledge to utilize all our energies to achieve progress, prosperity and solidarity of the nation and the country.

Extending felicitations on 66th Independence Day to the nation, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, in his message, said that independence is a gift of God, and to celebrate it in a befitting manner is the hallmark of living nations. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N is commemorating the month of August as “Mah-e-Azm-e-Nau” this year, as after achieving the goal of establishment of Pakistan, it is also the responsibility of Pakistan Muslim League-N, to achieve real objectives of Pakistan. He said that on the occasion of Independence Day, the nation ought to express its determination that it will leave no stone unturned to transform Pakistan in accordance with aspirations and dreams of our founding fathers, and to make it a true Islamic welfare state. He said it is our good luck that, like 1947, this Independence Day has also come during the holy month of Ramadan, which is a month of blessings and bounties of Almighty Allah. He said that Pakistan is the result of great struggle waged by the Muslims of subcontinent and now it is our collective responsibility to strive vigorously to make it a welfare state, and ensure progress and prosperity of the country. He said that, unfortunately, the fruits of independence have not reached the people, even after passage of 66 years, which is the fault of the ruling class. He said that the ruling class is ashamed in the court of the people for its inability to transform Pakistan in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. He said that it is a regrettable reality that the present rulers in Islamabad have, during the last over four years, made no sincere and serious efforts to bring the country out of darkness, which is an act of criminal negligence at the national level, over which the people of Pakistan would never pardon them.

Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said the historic day of 14th August reminds us that if we have true grit and determination, and our intentions are sincere, then achieving the true destination is not impossible. He said today we must review the reasons of our failures, and chalk out a future course of action, to put the country towards the destination of progress and prosperity. He said that the best way to pay homage to our founding fathers is to act upon the golden principles laid down by them, and adopt hard work and honesty as our course of action, in order to bring the country out of the darkness of poverty, backwardness and ignorance. He said that Punjab government is making sincere efforts for promotion of education, provision of medical facilities, eradication of cruelty and highhandedness, predominance of law and justice, besides ensuring provision of basic necessities to the masses at their doorsteps. He said that many welfare projects aimed at the betterment of the poor segment of the society have been initiated by the Punjab government to make Pakistan a true Islamic welfare state, in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam. The Chief Minister called upon the nation to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner, and pray to Allah Almighty for peace, progress, prosperity and solidarity of the country, on this historic occasion.
