Ulema cooperation is necessary for peace:Rana Sana Ulla

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that government seeks cooperation of Ulema and Mashaikh of all schools of thought for the maintenance of law on the occasion of martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA). Law enforcement agencies have been directed to remain vigilant in order to cope with any untoward incident in the province, he added.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of Shia ulema in connection with martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA). The delegation included Agha Shah Hussain Qizalbash, Tauqir Hussain Baba, Allama Mushtaq Hussain Jaaferi, Kh. Basharat, Rai Zafar Ali and Ajmal Naqvi. Member Provincial Assembly, Col. Retd. Shuja Khanzada, incharge Security Room Lahore set up in connection with martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA). Rana Sanaullah Khan said that Yom-e-Ali demands us maintenance of unity in our ranks. He said that our survival is linked with the stability of Pakistan and we will have to understand the conspiracies of foreigners for its existence. He said that our identity in the comity of nations is not based on any sect but as a Pakistani.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said that on the occasion of Yom-e-Ali, all the concerned DPOs and DCOs have been put on high alert on security points set up throughout the province. He said that foolproof security arrangements have been made in all districts and sensitive places while contingents of police force have been substantially increased for the protection of Mosques and Imam Bargahs. He said that officials of police and law enforcement agencies should remain present at the end of processions till the participants are dispersed. The ulema expressed confidence over the measures taken by Punjab government on the occasion of martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA).
