Turk delegation meets Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: A delegation of Turk company OZPAK led by Mr. Mohibi met Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here today. Member National Assembly Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Member Provincial Assembly Mehr Ishtiaq, Chairman LTC Khawaja Ahmad Hasaan, Managing Director Lahore Solid Waste Management, Chief Executive Officer LTC, Regional Director Pak-Turk Foundation Saadi Yildarir and concerned officials were present.

Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister invited the Turk companies to invest in energy and theme park projects and said that there are vast opportunities of investment in energy sector and Punjab government is offering special incentives and facilities to foreign entrepreneurs. He said that Turk companies are investing in various sectors in Punjab and benefiting from the highly favorable atmosphere for investment and business existing in the province, He said that Turk investors have made investment of billions of rupees during last few years. He said that Pakistan and Turkey have longstanding relations and the two countries are bound together in strong ties of mutual respect, love and friendship. He said that the growing trade cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan is in the interest of the people of both the countries.

The Turk delegation expressed its interest in the projects of energy and theme park. The delegation informed the Chief Minister that the modern system of cleanliness in Lahore is being further extended and the second and third phase of this system is being started. It was further informed that the forth phase of the project will also be initiated within one month. The Chief Minister was informed that the vehicles and machinery of Turk company have reached Lahore. The Chief Minister welcomed the launching of the second and the third phases of modern sanitation system in Lahore by OZPAK. He directed MD Solid Waste Management to initiate the 2nd and 3rd phase of the system in Lahore from 14 August. He said that the modern system of cleanliness will also be introduced in other big cities of Punjab and all preparation in this regard will be completed within the next three months. He also commended the cooperation of Turk companies in the development of transport sector. He said that the Turk company has also made investment in transport sector in Lahore and it is hoped that it will be in the forefront of provision of modern, comfortable and affordable transport facilities to the masses. He said that work on metro bus service project in Lahore is continuing round the clock and every effort is being made to complete this project at the earliest so that modern and rapid travelling facilities could become available to the citizens. He said that metro bus project will also be started in other big cities of Punjab. He said that due to excellent policies of Punjab government investors of Turkey and other countries are making huge investment in the province.
