Arshad alias Kaka Car lifter gang busted

Lahore: Arshad alias Kaka Car lifter gang was busted by Anti Vehicles Lifting Staff City division effecting arrest of four accused gang alongwith its ringleaders and as many as 14 cars & two motorbikes valuing Rs 12 millions were recovered from them.

According to police spokesman SSP Investigation Babar Bakht Qureshi formed a team under the supervision of SP CRO Syed Jamat Ali Bukhari, DSP AVLS City division Tariq Mehmood Sukhera and other officials which worked day & night and was successful in busting Arshad alias Kaka gang resulting in arrest of its four members.
The accused used to steal vehicles parked in streets & markets etc. with the help of master key and parked them in empty plots from where they used to take them to FATA the next day through motorway where they sold it to one Arshad Pathan.
As many as 22 cases of PS Faisal Town, Wahdat Colony, Gulberg, Garden Town, Model Town, Mughalpura, Defense-B, Ichrra, Shalimar, Sabzazar, Gawalmandi, Shadman, Sattokatla, Muslim Town, Old Anarkali, Johar Town and PS Qilla Gujjar Singh have been traced from them. The arrested accused include Muhammad Arshad alias Kaka, Mabool Ahmed, Muhammad Ahmed and Muhammad Nawaz.
The police raiding party comprised SI Mehdi Hassan, ASI Amjad Ali, HC Asif Iqbal, Constables Muhammad Illyas, Abdul Ghafoor, Muhammad Kamran and Asghar Ali.
Addl.IG/CCPO Aslam Tareen has announced cash award and commendation certificates for the raiding party.

CCPO Tareen directed DIG Investigation Chaudhry Shafiq Ahmed, to initiate steps for curbing the trend of car theft besides effecting recovery of the stolen vehicles.
