Ch Shujat Hussain lauds lawyers role for democratic stability

Lahore:Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that the lawyers community has played an important role for democratic stability and rule of law and we highly value their struggle and services.
While talking to a delegation of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) headed by its President Yasin Azad which called on him at his residence here today, he suggested that lawyers’ representative bodies should also be consulted in the law making process.
During the meeting, which lasted for some time, problems faced by the lawyers community and in particular the situation in Balochistan figured prominently.
SCBA President Yasin Azad agreed with Ch Shujat Hussain’s suggestion that Balochistan issue will have to be resolved seriously through mutual dialogue. He said that the kawyers community has offered great sacrifices for provision of quick and cheap justice to the people and freedom of judiciary. In this regard, he lauded the role of Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi and said the Chaudhry Brothers have always supported the lawyers’ community.
The SCBA delegation included General Secretary Aslam Zar, Additional Secretary Sadar Majeed, Member Pakistan Bar Council Syed Qalab-e-Hassan, Executive Committee member Muhammad Aslam Ghumman and the Advisor to Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Raaziq among others.
Afterwards, Ch Shujat Hussain hosted Iftar dinner in honour of the SCBA delegation members.
