Lahore:more than seven thousands cops of city police are seeking their salaries since 57 days.Taking strong notice of delay and non-payment of salaries to more than 7000 police officials of Lahore police, Inspector General of Police Punjab Haji Habib-ur-Rehman has ordered immediate release of 100 million rupees funds for district police Lahore. The funds have been issued from the Central Police Office (CPO) today.
According to details, the IGP took strict notice of media reports regarding long delays and non-payments of salaries to no less than 7000 policemen serving in Lahore district.
On the orders of the provincial police chief, the CPO has released 80 millions rupees for payment of salaries to the policemen while another 20 millions rupees for the purchase of fuel for the police patrolling.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman has asked the Accountant General Punjab to immediate resolve the issue regarding payment of salaries to the policemen so that the police officials/officers, who fight against crimes round-the-clock to provide protection to the lives and property of the citizens, would be able to meet their daily expenses in respectable manners.
