IG says sorry to DPO Khanewal and RPO Multan

Lahore:In the prospects of stoned to death incident of a Khanewal Woman, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman has recommended the Government of Punjab for Judicial Inquiry into Maryam Bibi’s case. IGP also recommended the transfer of RPO Multan.

He immediately transferred Muhammad Waqar Abbasi, DPO Khanewal closed to Central Police Office Punjab, Lahore. Provincial Police Chief also suspended DSP Sadar Circle Khanewal, Javaid Khan, SHO Kacha Khoo, Inspector Shamshad Khalid, Incharge Chawki Aaqil, PS Kacha Khoo, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf.

IGP also constituted an a new inquiry team which will be headed by RPO Sheikhupura, Zulfiqar Cheema whereas, DIG Investigation Lahore, Ch. Shafique Ahmed and SSP Investigation Punjab, Tariq Nawaz Malik will be the members of this team.
