Lahore:Inspection of district courts has been launched in the Punjab in order to improve the standard of court decisions. Courts in major cities will be inspected in the first phase as these may entail more problems. Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court has nominated a judge of LHC for each district to monitor the performance of that district.
On the directions of Justice Sagheer Ahmad Qadri, Inspection Judge of district courts of Lahore, along with five member team carried out inspection in Lahore courts. The Team was headed by Abdul Sattar, MIT, Jawadul Hassan representative of the CJ LHC and three Additional MITs. The Team inspected record of decided cases of additional district and sessions judges and prepared their performance report. During this exercise registers of the court staff were also examined. The inspection will continue on 17th and 18th July. Inspection of jails is also part of this task.
Earlier, Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan completed the inspection of district courts of Multan District.
