District Courts inspection starts

Lahore:In order to improve the working of District Judiciary, annual inspection of District Courts has been started across the Punjab. Every Inspection Judge nominated by the LHC will inspect his assigned district. According to the mechanism devised for this purpose inspection of major cities will be carried out first and then this exercise will be extended to smaller ones.

The end in view is to accelerate the dispensation of justice and not mere punishment.To achieve these goals, Multan district Courts have already been inspected by the inspection Judge of the said district Mr. Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan on July 7, 2012. Now, the Lahore District Courts will be inspected by the Inspection Judge Mr. Justice Sagheer Ahmad Qadri from 16 to 18 July, 2012. In this behalf District & Sessions Judge, Lahore has been asked to make the necessary preparations. The Inspection Judge will inspect record of decided cases, review the performance of Judicial Officers and watch Court proceedings. The Inspection Judge will also inspect Copying Agency, Record Room, Bakshi Khana and also carry out jail inspection.
