Lahore:CCPO Muhammad Aslam Tareen has called upon the Ulema to promote Islam’s message of unity, brotherhood, affinity and tolerance in their respective areas of influence so that prevalence of an atmosphere of complete peace and unity in the society could be ensured with their cooperation.
This was stated by him here, Wednesday, while addressing a meeting of District Peace Committee which was attended by Ulema of different schools of thought, DIG Operations Rai Muhammad Tahir and the divisional SPs amongst other concerned.
Tareen hope that religious leaders would play their effective role for forging complete unity amongst the Muslims brethren for ensuring that they offered prayers and other religious practices in an atmosphere of complete peace and harmony. He said that they have always rendered invaluable towards the direction in the past as well which was not only appreciable but also contributed a lot towards maintenance of peace and tranquility. He said that if we were able to adopt and practice the teachings of Islam in its true spirit terrorism and other crimes would automatically stand arrested.
The CCPO said that complete security would be provided in Ramzan-ul-Mubarik during the Namaz-e-Taraveeh and other prayers. Moreover CCTV Cameras would be placed at important mosques and other prominent places so that in the event of some mishap, the culprits could be traced with the help of camera recording. Similarly, foolproof security arrangements would be made during the last Ashra of Ramzan in Bazars and shopping centers so that people could carry out their shopping with complete peace of mind.
Besides prominent religious scholars/leaders Molana Javeed Akbar Saqi, Qari Abdullah Qadri, Pir Asif Gillani, Pir Muhammad Ibraheam Sialvi, Haider Ali Mirza, Allama Mushtaq Hussain Jaefri, Khawaja Bisharat Karbalae, Agha Abbas, Syed Ajmal Hussain Naqvi, Sahbizada Syed-ur-Rehman, Molana Hussain Ahmed Awan, Molana Ghulam Sarwar Awan, Molana Shakeel-ur-Rehman Nasir, Molana Bashir Salfi and Molana Habib-ur-Rehman Farooqi, the meeting was attended by SSP Operations, Chief Traffic Officer, SP Headquarters and all divisional SPs, amongst others concerned.
