Lahore:Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has directed that Thana culture should be further improved and due respect should be extended to the aggrieved and helpless persons besides redressing their grievances.
He was presiding over a high level meeting to review law and order situation at his Tent Office, set up at Sports Stadium, during his visit to Sargodha today. The meeting was attended by Members National and Provincial Assemblies and high-ranking government servants.
The Chief Minister ordered provision of more funds for improving performance of Sargodha Police and said that steps are already being taken to increase the strength of Punjab Police. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif directed to evolve an effective strategy to control sectarian activities in the division. During his briefing, DIG Sargodha Amjad Javed Saleemi pointed out that four dangerous criminals, with head money have been arrested whereas two have been killed.
