Drs observe strike on 17th day

Lahore:Doctors observed black day with black bands and hosted black flags on the offices of all its provincial, district and tehsil offices on the request of Pakistan Medical Association Punjab.

Protests were also launched in all hospitals of Punjab. The PMA Punjab further added that the state terrorism is intolerable. The arrest of PMA Punjab vice president Bahawalpur division Dr. Iftikhar Bhatti, raid of police on PMA Lahore president Dr. Tanveer Anwar and nomination of office bearers in FIRs are steps to instigate all forums of doctors towards last resorts. These steps reflect bad governance and short sightedness of Punjab government. The protest is just right of doctors community the government must release all the arrested doctors not only 24.

The false FIR should be withdraw immediately and all the rational demands of service structure be met by the government of Punjab.

All the deaths in last two days are due to bad governance of govt. Punjab. To improve the current situation the government should make sane decision of negotiations.
