Dr rizwan reviews the performance of the rescuers

Lahore:The Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr. Rizwan Naseer carried out a performance review of emergency operations in all districts of Punjab to ensure uniform standard of the Service.
The emergency data has revealed that the Service has rescued over 37484 victims of emergencies while carrying out 38160 rescue operations during the month of june, 2012 in 36 cities of Punjab, while maintaining its average response time. It was observed in meeting that the numbers of emergencies are increasing day by day.
The emergency calls to which Rescue 1122 responded includes 13003 Road Traffic Accidents, 21273 Medical emergencies, 1435 Fire incidents, 71 Building Collapse incidents, 2067 Crime, 166 Drowning Incidents, 133 Special Rescue Operations and 12 Explosions.
These 38160 rescue operations in the month of june, 2012 includes 6991 rescue operations in Lahore, 4241 in Faisalabad, 2780 in Multan, 2415 in Gujranwala, 1428 in Bahawalpur, 1066 in Rawalpindi, 1361 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 1433 in Sargodha, 747 in Rahim Yar Khan, 1351 in Sahiwal, 963 in Sialkot, 521 in Murree, 1273 in Jhang, 531 in Toba Tek Singh, 625 in Muzafargarh, 464 in Rajanpur, 482 in Mianwali, 589 in Pakpattan, 720 in Kasur, 436 in Gujrat, 600 in Bahawalnagar, 360 in Jehlum, 754 in Attock, 625 in Khanewal, 205 in Vehari, 344 in Chakwal, 613 in Okara, 408 in Hafizabad, 762 in Sheikhupura, 617 in Lodhran, 330 in Nankana Sahib, 404 in Khushab, 359 in Mandibaha-ud-din, 507 in Narowal, 355 in Layyah and 500 in Bhakkar.
The Director General requested the citizens to immediately dial 1122 in case of any emergency because only timely call especially in case of a fire emergency is extremely essential for restricting fire from getting out of control.
